The cheese is fantastic! The food is great and reasonably priced. You get a bonus of seeing the cheese made which felt like a well choreographed ballet as workers moved back and forth processing the cheese.

Delicious food and wonderful staff! I was here today after watching Korean Momma last week. She left a great review, so I knew I had to come. The food was amazing! The cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. The service and staff was fantastic. They gave me recommendations and were friendly. It was extremely clean. The staff wore gloves when handling the ice cream which made me happy since most places don’t. I had the asada sopes. I love the salsa and loaded up my food with it. The chorizo fundido was my fav! I couldn’t stop eating it. The cheese pull was insane. I loved the chorizo over the asada, but the ice cream was an amazing finish. I had strawberry and my husband had pumpkin pie. The prices are great, the quality/quantity of food, and service is all five star. It’s hard to find places where you had nothing bad to say. I love their story and Salem is lucky to have them. Thanks for a great lunch!

I LOVE nachos, LOVE. I've ordered them from probably ever place possible here in Salem. But WOW, Don Froylan is the best, hands down. The meat isn't dry and gross, the mexican cheese is creamy and a bit tangy, even the really dark red hot sauce (which usually I will not touch) is awesome. The heat of the hot sauce hits on the way down, with a pleasant burn, not on the tip of my tongue like all other hot sauces do. Plenty of toppings and most of the chips weren't soggy. This is my new to go place for nachos, and I can't wait to try their other offerings. Go here today!

Have been here couple times for cheese. This last time tried their quesadillas and were great. The salsas are tasty but weren’t spicy enough for my taste.

Definitely a place to go for lunch or dinner. Great food and atmosphere. You will be eating cheese upon cheese upon cheese here so take it slow. I loved the salsa/sour cream bar they had. They also have cheese samples along with ice cream and other food items for purchase. We loved everything we ordered except the queso fundido con chorizo. I was expecting more of a queso-like consistency and the cheese was not soft or easy to scoop on a chip. The flavor was good though!

I loved visiting Don Froylan! Still happily adding my cheese-scores to all my food at home. Find a way to try all of the salsas. It won't be hard. Some of the creamy ones blew my mind. I am picky AF about salsa. We got the chille relleno and the guacamole (kid) and the fried curds. The guac was the best choice because the chips made trying all the salsas easy. Definitely do not walk out without some of their string cheese! It is unbelievably creamy and delicious. We bought so much cheese. You cannot go wrong. The horchatta was also fantastic.

Fun little place. U can go straight to the tasting bar to see what u want to buy. Then get in line to purchase your cheese or order the prepared foods from the kitchen. We had the jalapenos (delicious!), quesadilla with carne asada (also wonderful especially with the green sauce), taquitos (all flavors were good) and the guacamole (also excellent). The chips were wonderful as well. I ended up buying 2 large balls of the Oaxaca cheese, it tastes like mozzarella and was delicious as well! We will definitely stop on our next road trip!

This was my first visit to Don Froylan Creamery, despite driving past many times over the years. Since I showed up at lunchtime, I felt a bit rushed. I hope to return soon at a slow time so I can have more time to look around and enjoy a deeper experience. I loved the family atmosphere, and the food was amazing! I generally consider a quesadilla to be a simple food: almost more of a snack. But here, the simple quesadilla is elevated to "feast level". I will be recommending Don Froylan to everyone I meet! While waiting for my food, I visited their website and learned how the family built the creamery in order to fulfill Don Froylan's life dream. After tasting the best cheese of my life and a friendly "have a nice day" upon departure, I left with a feeling that Don Froylan is somewhere looking down on his family with extreme pride and gratitude for how they've continued his life work and built a successful "cheese empire".
